The Orlando Lightning came into Palm Beach County Saturday night and destroyed the home team, Palm Beach Hurricane, 112-95.
In what could be called the Orlando Lightning's finest game of the season, head coach Barry Mestel and his team played a near flawless game from start to finish.
"We simply executed much better than the night before both on offense and defense" stated coach Barry Mestel. "I am very proud of how my guys shook off last nights home defeat and 24 hours later, stamp out such a convincing win over a very talented and athletic Palm Beach Hurricane team."
Yves Saintelo led the way for the Orlando Lightning, who now occupy second place in the ABL, with 24 points. Anthony Poindexter, a 6'8" forward from San Diego College, scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Justin Ramsay, a 7" center from Virginia Union University, scored 16 points and hauled in nine rebounds for the visiting Orlando Lightning.
The Palm Beach Hurricane were led by Daniel Bryant, a 6'0" guard from Arkansas State University, who scored a game high 32 points. Elijah Jones returned to the line up after being out for the past three games and scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for the Hurricane who dropped their fourth consecutive game.
